Ceramic Wire - Ceramic Coated Magnetic Wire
We’re wired for high temperature applications.
Our Ceramawire™ HT Wire is a high temperature magnet wire insulated with a fully cured (1400-1500°F) vitreous enamel film. This film is firmly bonded to the wire conductor and assumes the same flexibility and temperature coefficient as the base wire. Ceramawire is suitable for coil winding and lead wire applications in aerospace, nuclear, steam, chemical, and other high temperature applications. Operating temperature range is -450°F to 1000°F continuous, and up to 1500°F for shorter periods of time. There are also applications that have used the wire successfully in temperatures up to 2000°F.
Ceramawire™ Products
Ceramawire is available in two standard conductor types:
- 27% Nickel Clad Copper (Kulgrid 28) »
This wire has a relatively low electrical resistance, and can operate up to 1000°F. - All Nickel (Nickel 205) »
This wire can operate up to 2000°F, but has a higher electrical resistance than Nickel Clad Copper.
Ceramawire™ Applications
Since the 1970’s, Ceramawire has been used in a broad range of applications, from plasma physics and nuclear research to production coils for general industry, military, and space applications. Our engineers will be happy to assist you in determining if Ceramawire is right for your application. Please contact us today.
